How long does it take to fully charge the battery?

Zelo Electric scooters come with Lead Acid and Lithium-ion battery options.

• Lead Acid variants take around 8 hours to fully charge.
• Lithium-ion variants charge faster and take approximately 3–4 hours.

Actual charging time may vary slightly depending on the model and power supply conditions.

How do I charge the battery?

For Lithium-ion variants, the battery is detachable and portable, allowing you to charge it at home or the office using a regular power socket - just like a mobile phone.

For Lead Acid variants, the battery is fixed, and charging is done by plugging the scooter directly into a standard 5A socket.

What are the running costs for Zelo scooters?

Zelo Electric scooters are very economical, with an average running cost of around 15 paise/ km.

For example, riding 100 km costs approximately ₹15 making daily commuting very affordable.

Do I need a driver's license, insurance or registration?

• Non-RTO scooters (up to 25 km/h):
No driving license, registration, or insurance is required. Riders must be at least 16
years old, and wearing a helmet is mandatory as per traffic rules.

• RTO Zelo scooters (above 25 km/h):
A valid driving license, vehicle registration, and insurance are mandatory, as per
government regulations. Please check local state laws for any additional requirements.
